WHITEWATER

The Pacific Northwest, and the Columbia Gorge in particular, is the crown jewel of North American whitewater kayaking. With a long season, epic beauty, and river diversity, it might be the best kayaking spot in the world. We’re based in the middle of it all, walking distance to the White Salmon River. You can have laps for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you want.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Columbia Gorge is a global mountain biking mecca anchored by the legendary Post Canyon—a forest playground where the dirt is tacky and the features are works of art. There are many other trail systems, including a 17 mile descent of the Falls Creek Trail, and the GNAR facility is home to its very own jump line so you can work on your whips anytime you want.

MULTI-SPORT

This is what “Gorge Life” is all about. If you want the best of both worlds, come for one of our multi-sport weeks. The biking and kayaking is so close by, we can easily do both of these things in a single day, and we can do several days like that on different rivers and trail systems. It’s blissfully exhausting.

This 80-mile geological marvel isn't just a scenic backdrop; it’s a world-class arena where glacial-fed tributaries to the mighty Columbia River provide legendary whitewater and rugged mountains create ideal terrain for mountain biking. The Retreat

What started as a home has evolved into a destination intentionally designed for adventurers. The main house can accommodate groups of 3-6, while the two smaller units are perfect for 1-2. The property offers outdoor gathering spots and a communal dining table, but you're welcome to relax with a good book and the Theragun in the comfort of your own unit if you'd like. Did we mention the jump track?
